Olympic Games 2012 - Part 1

The favourite sport of mrs maytrees is badminton so a journey to the Olympic badminton at Wembley Arena yesterday was a great first  Olympic sport to watch. Some photos make the point better than my words can:

This is not my sport but the brilliance of the play particularly  by the Chinese was mesmerising. The Canadians too were fantastic to watch and we had a really exciting and enjoyable evening.

    Mrs maytrees and I and I had a great time at the badminton last week but of course all players were then trying to win.
    One pair of those (plus 3 other pairs) have now been disqualified for trying to lose in the next round but in fact my understanding is that they were trying to get an easier opponent for the following round.
    I would have been annoyed at watching players trying to lose but upon reflection feel that the girls are being a little harshly treated as the rules of the sport allowed them to use such tatics.

    Hoping to make first visit to the Olympic park tomorrow.

Tate Britain - Turner Prize Exhibition

Younger brother suggested yesterday a spontaneous visit to the Tate Britain to see the Turner Prize Exhibition. Having seen this exhibition ...
