Family Pre-Christmas Lunch

Youngest sister Stephanie having kindly booked for the five surviving brothers and sisters to meet for lunch in London's West End  this week, we had an excellent lunch together at Charlie's in Mayfair.

Travel for my older brother Mike by Hull Trains from Hull, was fine he reported. Younger sister Kathy who spent months at St George's NHS Hospital with Covid-19, before eventually being the only one in her ward to survive and be discharged, had to travel by bus but very much enjoyed our meeting together. Youngest brother and his wife chanced  to meet mrs maytrees and I at Wimbledon station from where we travelled together. The Victoria Line Tube to Green Park was packed.

As for the meal I really savoured  the Artichoke soup to start, cod and mashed potato for the main course and creme brulee for sweet, with green tea; all delicious though mrs maytrees was less fortunate with her  pork main course which she found too fatty.

A great meeting and lunch for us all which lasted from 12 noon to well after 3pm.
