Happy and Holy Christmas 2022

Christmas 2022 is a time for reflection as well as rejoicing.

There is an interesting article about  this Christmas in today's Times newspaper, by the Archbishop of York.

I do not agree with all that he says in the article but the Archbishop reminds readers about how Mary and Joseph were living 2022 years ago  like many poor people  today, for example those in Ukraine who have to endure Putin's cruelty.

Today, many women are effectively compelled to flee from oppression in Ukraine, in much the same way as Mary, Joseph and new born baby Jesus, then were  compelled to flee to Egypt to escape King Herod's  threats to the life of their child and the King's cruelty.

But Christmas is a time for celebration  and joy so I hope that all who have read this blog in 2022, will enjoy much celebration and joy over this year's holiday.
