New Year 2023

Today being new year's eve, is in my view given the difficulties of 2022, a better time for looking forward to the year to come, than for reflecting on the time that has passed.

For  the year to come then, my predictions are:

1. The Russians will be defeated in Ukraine

2. The National Health Service (which has treated me excellently both in and out of hospital and continues to do so) will be reformed so as to limit if not prevent, its  sad collapse.

3. Workers'  strikes in the governmental and former governmental employee sectors (civil service railways etc) will abate as the 2023 pay rounds approach.

4. Fewer people will move house or change employment

5. There will be fewer in print newspapers than there are now.

Happy new year to all who read this blog.
