Death Life and Family -part II

Dad died this morning age 94 only a few weeks after mum died Tributes on mum's death age 97 .

Many say that where two  people have been married for a very long time (75 years+ married for mum and dad) deaths can occur quite soon after each other.

Mrs maytrees, three of our 4 children  (maytrees max  the 4th 'child' had  already visited dad only 2 days before)  son in law,  new grand daughter and yours truly  were fortunate enough to enjoy a bbq in the garden with dad and one of my sisters last week end on the hottest day of the year so far. That was the first time dad had ventured out into the back garden at home since  February and a really good time was had by all - a lovely last occasion.

Six of the 7 siblings met today at the parental home to share time together over a delicious lunch cooked by a younger sister. One  of us sadly was away ill.

Much remembering happiness and sadness was  evident but being together so soon after dad's death was quite  therapeutic.

May he Rest in Peace.

  1. My sympathies to you all, Maytrees.
